I know I am very demanding, that I have high standards, that expect a lot from people, etc. I know it, my friends have told me and an ex as well. However, not bothering to see me on my birthday followed by a "I'll let you know about meeting tomorrow" on Saturday and having said nothing since really annoys me. Is that asking too much?

And, for the first time I can remember, I feel old... I'm not really in the mood for celebrations and would prefer if people didn't wish me "happy birthday".
